Helen wanted to know why Emma didn’t want to go out dancing any more. Helen had even started going to classes, to learn a few moves. Partner dancing wasn’t so bad after all. She wanted Emma to come along and give her a bit of moral support.

‘Too busy,’ Emma said, with a hint of guilt, she knew she’d been neglecting her best friend. ‘I just want to be with Tyler.’

‘You could bring Tyler with you. You say he’s a good dancer. We need some extra men.’

‘Yeah. I could. He’s even offered, it’s just that—’

‘Oh, I see,’ Helen said, with a wry laugh. ‘You don’t want to share him. Must be serious!’
